Wireplay to hold LAN championships this weekend

Online gaming network Wireplay will be holding the Impulse 98 Wireplay LAN championships this weekend in Melbourne.

Promoted as the "biggest multiplayer LAN event ever held in Australia", Impulse 98 will run for 48 hours non-stop and will include competitions in Quake, Quake 2, Team Fortress 2 and Half-Life.

According to Wireplay, there will be 320 gamers competing in the championships for national titles.

Impulse 98 will start at 8:00AM Saturday at the Melbourne Showgrounds Exhibition Centre, Entrance Halls 2 and 3, Flemington, Victoria.
