Compaq has added a new entry-level notebook to its Armada range, the Armada 1575D.
The new notebook includes a 266MHz Pentium processor with MMX, 32MB RAM, a 20x CD-ROM and a 12.1in display. According to Compaq, its aimed at offering the family, business and education markets an affordable notebook with the best features of the Armada 1500 range. The Armada 1575D is priced at $3095.
Compaq has also announced price cuts of up to 10 per cent to eight Armada models including the Armada 1592DT, with a Pentium 266MHz, which was $4105 and is now $3695 RRP. The Armada 1700, a Pentium II 233MHz machine, has also had a price cut of 10 per cent, bringing it down from $4995 to $4495 RRP.
