Ego Pharmaceuticals wins SAP CEO choice award

Recognised for BusinessObjects implementation

Ego Pharmaceuticals has taken out SAP Australia’s ‘CEO’s choice award’ for its go live with SAP Business All-in-One and BusinessObjects Edge Business Intelligence software.

The SAP nominations highlight participation across businesses such as retail, aluminium, mining, utilities, consumer products, agriculture and healthcare.

Ego is expected to save $100,000 per month due to the implementation which was done with the help of Melbourne based company, Clarity Consulting Group.

Managing director, Alan Oppenheim, said in a statement the company entered the awards under the Best ERP implementation.

“It’s a great achievement to solve the issues of our old disjointed legacy systems and provide a new platform for our staff to grow the business.”

Oppenheim also said the system is designed to support business growth such as the international expansion of Ego and automate key business processes.

Started in 2001, the awards are judged by an independent panel consisting of SAP ANZ CEO Tim Ebbeck Komatsu IT general manager Ian Harvison, AXA CIO Peter Mahler and SAP ANZ head of delivery Mario Scicluna.

The nomination had to pass a three part evaluation process to be recognised as a finalist. Judging criteria is based on the customers’ use of resources, their relationship with the implementation partner and SAP. along with the ability to understand changing market conditions.
