Ubisoft has set the local release date for Techland's Call of Juarez: Gunslinger for May 22.
The Call of Juarez games have always been a homage to the Wild West era, and after setting the game in the present day with 2011’s Call of Juarez: The Cartel, the series returns back to its roots with Gunslinger.
This time around players will step into the boots of Silas Greaves, a bounty hunter who spent his life on the trail of the West’s most notorious outlaws.
Silas’ story is linked to the history of the Wild West era, mixing myths with historical facts.
During gameplay, Silas will encounter some of the West’s most recognisable outlaw figures, such as Pat Garret, Jesse James and Butch Cassidy.
Call of Juarez: Gunslinger will be available for $17.95 as a downloadable console title, and as a digital and retail product on PC.
Ubisoft is giving away immediate full access to the second entry in the Call Of Juarez series, 2009’s Bound in Blood, to those who preorder the digital PC version.
Preorders via Ubisoft’s Uplay service will also net players access to an exclusive pack of legendary weapons.
