Leaked press images have all but confirmed that Google is set to launch a white variant of its Nexus 4 Android smartphone.
Published by US blog Android Police, the press images of the phone come attached with the model number E960W, the W presumably standing for "white".
The regular black model of the Nexus 4, manufactured by LG, carries the model number E960.
Although the rear of the phone appears to be white, the new Nexus 4 will retain a black front bezel, so it's perhaps best described as a two-tone colour scheme.
In addition to publishing the leaked press images, Android Police says the white Nexus 4 will only come in 8GB and 16GB versions, just like the current black model. According to an anoymous tipster who supplied the images, there will be "no 32GB+ options, at least for now".
The white model of the Nexus 4 is set to launch with the latest Android 4.2 "Jelly Bean" operating system, though Google is also expected to release an updated 4.3 version of Android in the coming weeks.
