Optus has announced pricing and plan details, and opened online pre-orders for Samsung's new Galaxy Note 3 smartphone, but it will not bundle the Galaxy Gear smartwatch with any of its plans.
The telco will sell the 'Jet Black' and 'Classic White' variants of the Galaxy Note 3 on a number of its My Plans from Thursday, 3 October.
The hero offer appears to be a $10 monthly handset repayment on the $80 My Plan (a total of $90 per month) over 24 months. The plan includes 800 minutes of voice calls, unlimited SMS and MMS messages and 2GB of data per month.
Unlike Vodafone, however, Optus will not bundle Samsung's new Galaxy Gear smartwatch with any of its Galaxy Note 3 plans.
The Galaxy Gear smartwatch is a "companion device" that will initially only work with the Galaxy Note 3 smartphone, and the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition tablet.
In addition to contract plan sales, Optus also confirmed it will sell the Galaxy Note 3 outright for $949, a saving of $50 over Samsung's official outright price.
Optus' full range of plans for the Galaxy Note 3 can be viewed below.
Telstra, Vodafone and Virgin Mobile will also sell the Galaxy Note 3 in Australia from October.
