Apple has announced its new iPad mini with Retina display is available in Australia from today.
The company unveiled the second generation iPad mini tablet late last month, saying at the time it would be available in "late November".
Apple says the iPad mini with Retina display is available to order through its online store, via online reservation for pick up at its retail stores, and through select Apple authorised resellers.
The Apple store currently lists a shipping time of 1-3 business days for the 16GB and 32GB Wi-Fi only models of the device, with all other models listing a ship time of 5-10 business days.
Initial stock levels are unknown, though various reports suggest Apple could struggle with the supply of the Retina display component on the tablet.
Hardware analyst firm IHS Suppli said Apple would ship less than four million iPad mini with Retina display tablets in the fourth quarter of 2013.
Pricing of the iPad mini with Retina Display is more expensive than the previous model in both Australia and New Zealand, and is as follows.
