Don't care about the Xbox One or PlayStation 4? PC gaming platform Steam's Spring sale is on now. The promotion runs 27 November - 3 December, with specials changing daily. There are also 'flash sales' changing every 8 hours.
Kiwis and Aussies who're sick of the artificial 'White Christmas' imposed by the northern hemisphere should be grateful that Steam has accommodated our half of the earth with a 'Spring' sale rather than 'Autumn' or 'Winter'. As usual, however, we'll still be paying for our games in US dollars.
Deals are visible at store.steampowered.com, or via the Store tab in Steam on your Windows, OS X or Linux PC.
Specials today included 80% off Sleeping Dogs (down to US$4.99), 75% off Skyrim (US$8.74), and 75% off The Walking Dead (US$6.24).
Steam sales are an excellent time to stock up on games, and this one is well timed for the holiday season. Games can be given as gifts to other Steam users in your contact list, so it might even be a good time to give a few early Christmas presents.
