Dyno Equipment has begun taking orders for its new Trek modular, motorized camera slider system for GoPros, small cameras and smartphones on crowdfunding platform Indigogo.
“After searching high and low for a modular, motorized camera slider that was cost-effective and easy to use, we soon realized that such a product just did not exist,” said Chris Szczur, CEO and co-founder, Dyno Equipment.
“Most of the products on the market are made for larger cameras and are too expensive, bulky and complex. By reimagining the technology, we have been able to create a product that anyone can use anywhere, anytime.”
Trek features a sleek, portable design, and is built with Magnetic Quick Connect technology; a patent-pending track connection system that allows users to go from packed up to fully assembled in just seconds. Dyno say that the completely tool-less system allows users to spend less time setting up and more time taking memorable shots.
Compared to similar professional systems, Trek is highly affordable making it a good fit for both professional and hobbyist video makers alike. Featuring Android and iOS app-controlled motion, users are able to easily customize the speed, length, direction and long exposure time-lapse for each shot.
The Indiegogo campaign for Trek has already surpassed its initial funding goal of $50,000 USD. However, Early Bird backers are still able to to purchase the Trek “basic” kit at USD $199 (33% off the eventual retail price).
More information about Trek can be found over on the Indiegogo page for the product.
