Intel has revealed details about its next wave of 8th-gen Intel Core processors, which will come with a custom-built Radeon RX Vega M GPU on-board.

Intel debuted the new processors, available in four consumer SKUs, at this year’s CES in Las Vegas.

Falling under the company’s “H-Series” of processors, they say the new i7-8809G, i7-8709G, i7-8705G and i5-8305G processors will offer up the first mobile integration of power-sharing via Intel’s EMID tech and high-bandwidth memory (HBM2).

The former allows for the memory and GPU to be connected together by an embedded high-speed connector, allowing for thinner designs and reducing the physical footprint of the silicon involved by about 50%. Meanwhile, the latter offers power-savings to both customers and OEMs. Intel say it uses about 80% less power versus that of traditional GDDR5 memory.

They say these advancements will open up new opportunities for OEMS, who will have some control over the new chipsets features via BIOS settings. The dynamic power-sharing involved is said to allow for enthusiast-level performance in the sleekest of notebook designs, totalling an approximate 18% increase in efficiency(frames/watt).

At this time, Intel have confirmed that the new products will come with unique badges.  However, as for when the new processors will roll out, Intel haven’t committed to anything just yet.

No Australian pricing has been confirmed either.
