Almost six months after they charmed the tech press alongside the debut of the Google Pixel 2, the company's Pixel Buds are finally coming to Australian customers.
Here it is again, in case you forgot.
Promising fast-charging, easy-pairing, 5 hours of battery life and real-time language translation (via integration with Google Translate) the Pixel Buds are available from today through JB Hi-Fi, Telstra and Google's own online store.
Locally, the earbuds arrive at an RRP of $249.
Overeseas, they launched back in November to mixed reviews.
The Verge's Sean O'Kane said that "The Pixel Buds tease some really fantastic ideas that I hope Google will someday deliver on. But this is a first-generation product in the bad kind of way, and it looks even worse when you compare it to Apple’s growing success with the AirPods. Futuristic features are only worthwhile if they are paired with something you enjoy using right now. The Pixel Buds only get half that equation right."
Regardless, we're looking forward to testing them out ourselves in the near future. Look forward to our review.
