Swann has announced a new Solar Panel for the Smart Security Camera, enabling users to set and forget the camera, eliminating the need to manually recharge the device.
“Consumers are increasingly looking to add products to the home that are convenient, affordable and environmentally friendly,” said Jeremy Stewart, Vice President of Global Marketing at Swann.
“The small addition of the Solar Panel to the Swann Smart Security Camera ticks all these boxes. The new Solar Panel simply takes advantage of solar energy and recharges your cameras battery on the go. This means that homeowners and renters can maintain 24/7 security.”
Launched late last year, the Smart Security Camera is Swann’s first wire-free camera that runs off a convenient rechargeable battery. The new Solar Panel makes the system more convenient as users no longer have to dismount the camera for charging.
The camera is now charged by connecting the Solar Panel via the USB charging cable included in the pack. The Solar Panel, just like the Smart Security Camera, is weather-proofed and can be exposed to the elements, ensuring that the camera is always charged, connected to Wi-Fi and available to see and record any suspicious activity.
The Solar Panel also features an adjustable bracket so the panel can receive maximum sunlight throughout the day. It can also be placed in different locations during Summer and Winter to optimise charming to the Swann Smart Security Camera.
Swann’s Solar Panel for the Smart Security Camera will be available at JB Hi Fi, Harvey Norman, Bunnings Warehouse, Jaycar Electronics and selected resellers across Australia from July for $99.95.
