Sold.com.au to close

Online auction service, Sold.com.au will close later this month.

Users were sent an e-mail on Wednesday afternoon advising the local auction service will close on August 20, 2003.

The site has stopped accepting the submission of new auction items, but users will be able to "bid on live items right up until Sold.com.au closes", the e-mail said.

The notice to users said, "sold.com.au ID (username) will not be affected by the closure. You will be able to continue using the ID for all services across the Yahoo! Network."
