Microsoft are being unfairly challenged

I just finished reading your article on the lawsuit against Microsoft with having IE 4.0 included with the Windows 98 OS. I am inclined to be on Microsofts side. Yes I do think Microsoft are being unfairly challenged.
Microsoft are supplying the operating system so why should they be told what the add-on items should or should not be included? If there are people/organisations that want to use Netscape Navigator or another alternative then they need to find an operating system that suits their requirements.
Maybe the other browser companies have been caught out and are not thinking ahead far enough to have a product that can work on the Microsoft platform. They obviously haven't got the people to keep them one step ahead.
If Microsoft lose the case then there may be further repercussions as to the contents of the operating system.
Lets face it: since Microsoft brought us Windows and took us out of the DOS doldrums, and so many other software producers have based themselves on the Windows platform there doesn't seem to be anything YET that will compete.
