Toshiba cuts prices of notebooks

Toshiba has cut the price of its Satellite and Satellite Pro notebooks, including the models featuring Intel's new mobile Pentium II 266MHz processor.
The Satellite notebooks have had price cuts from 4.7 to 16.7 per cent.
Toshiba's Satellite 310, featuring a Pentium 200MHz MMX Tillamook processor, a 16x CD-ROM, 32MB RAM, 256KB of L2 cache, has had a price cut of 11.1 per cent for the CDS configuration (from $4140 to $3680 RRP), and 13.3 per cent (from $5175 to $4485 RRP) for the CDT model.
The Satellite Pro range including the 470CDT, 480CDT, 490CDT and 490XCDT notebooks, have had price cuts ranging from 4.5 to 12.5 per cent.
The newly released Satellite Pro 490XCDT is now priced at $8565 RRP, down from $9260 (a cut of 7.5 per cent). The 490XCDT features the new Pentium II processor for notebooks from Intel, a 3.8GB hard disk, 32MB RAM, a 20x CD-ROM, and a 13.3in Active Matrix TFT display.
