Noir Matter Introduces waterproof stabiliser for GoPro & other action cameras

Noir Matter has announced QUARK, the world’s smallest waterproof stabiliser for GoPro and other action cameras.

“After using a variety of different 3-axis stabilisers, we realised that they were not practical and true adapted for action cameras,” said Lancelot Gelas, founder of Noir Matter. “Most of them are too big, bulky, complex and heavy. By miniaturising the technology, we have been able to create a product that you can use anywhere.”

Perfect for video makers and action sport enthusiasts, QUARK is the ultimate tool for capturing fully stable videos because of its horizontal stabilisation which keeps the horizon “straight”, ensuring the captured action is always level.

The one-axis waterproof stabiliser can be set for “Roll” and “Yaw” axis, and works by gathering motion information from different embedded sensors linked to the camera. By analysing the gathered information, QUARK drives its powerful, custom motor to ensure users can record fully stable and level vides.

QUARK is the world’s first waterproof (up to 1m) stabiliser for GoPro and other action cameras, so users can use it while kitesurfing, surfing, kayaking and other water activities. Because of its size, users can keep it attached to their camera at all times. At just 240 grams, QUARK can be mounted on any mount, pole, helmet, ski or surfboard.
