When opening the box the first thing that grabs your attention is the sheer size – at 5.6cm thick and weighing more than 4.5kg it isn’t small. Now that can be a problem for some people but I’m not one of them because there is an upside and it’s important. The size and weight of this machine allows it to support immense processing power.
The GT75 is the most powerful laptop I have ever used. Its 8th Generation Intel® Core™ i9 Processor and 32GB DDR4 Memory, can handle everything you throw at it. It also has a 17.3" 4K (3840 x 2160) high quality display, powered by a GeForce® GTX 1080 with 8GB GDDR5X graphics card for all your gaming needs.
It is the kind of configuration which is vital for what I do. What I need most, when I’m working, is a laptop that can run multiple programs simultaneously, that is able to run code writing software, Web design software, multiple different browsers, command prompt, source control and a local server. Now that is a lot for any machine to handle. Fortunately, the GT75 handles it all with ease and its 17.3" 4K (high quality display creates a great canvas for designing websites.
The True Color 2.0 Technology provides increased colour contrast and greater image detail to allow me to perfect the fine detail in my designs. Colours are presented with the utmost precision, guaranteeing colour fidelity of close to 100% sRGB. That is impressive, no matter what you are using the machine for.
Transportability and ease of use are a must for me when it comes to laptops, but while the GT75 is a heavy machine it certainly didn’t stop me from carrying it around. And I love the fact that I can take such high processing power with me wherever I go.
While the MSI GT75 is fabulous to use in a professional environment it is also a multi-purpose machine for the home. Whether binge watching the latest Netflix shows or playing the latest games, the GT75’s high quality display and 120 Hz refresh rate really shines.
Perhaps my favourite feature of the GT75 is the keyboard, in particular the disco setting. The first thing I did once I’d booted up the GT75 was play with the keyboard – it’s a fun feature that adds personality to the laptop. It’s also a very functional feature for gaming, that allows you to set particular keys to be lit, greatly enhancing your gaming experience.
MSI created the world’s first mechanical keyboard gaming laptop. Now it has gone a step further with the new Rapid Mechanical RGB keyboard that features only 3mm total key travel distance and 1.5mm actuation. You can literally customise every single key to your needs. How good is that!
If you haven’t already figured it out, the GT75 is a well-equipped machine. In addition to the aforementioned power and graphics, it also has five USB 3.1 Type-A ports, an SD card reader and audio jacks. On the back, there is a USB-C port with support for Thunderbolt 3, an HDMI port and mini-DisplayPort. This array of ports and jacks allows the user to connect almost any device and create their own gaming or office setup.
Conclusion: I honestly don’t have a bad word to say about the MSI GT75 laptop. It is a top quality machine that is so well configured that it performs strongly whether at work or play. I highly recommend it for anybody who needs a powerful, smart machine to get their job done or avid gamers who also need all the attributes this great machine offers.
