Linux-based phone launched
There are currently no resellers Australia, but as the Neo FreeRunner operates on a tri-band GSM frequency, it can be easily used on the Optus, Telstra and Vodafone networks.
The much-anticipated but seemingly forever delayed OpenMoko Neo FreeRunner has been released.
The Neo is a completely open source phone and runs on the mobile Linux platform and application software. The handset is sold 'unlocked' and can be used with any 900MHz GSM network.
