Sony Ericsson announces long-awaited XPERIA X1

The XPERIA X1 is the first Sony Ericsson phone to run the Windows Mobile interface.
The X1 is the first phone in what is anticipated will be a new premium sub-brand — XPERIA.
The touch screen, panel-based UI features an interface that is a continually active desktop. It allows users to organise the phone’s dashboard as they want, changing between panels.
The X1 will initially be available exclusively through Telstra with an RRP of $1499. The package will include a 4GB Memory Stick Micro (M2) card.

Sony Ericsson last week announced the Australian launch of its much anticipated XPERIA X1 smartphone.
Initially available exclusively on Telstra's Next G network in Australia, the XPERIA X1 was announced over nine months ago. It will finally be available for purchase in December.
