  • TomTom START GPS unit

Price: $187 (Save: $12) TomTom's cheapest GPS (priced at an RRP of $199) ever has just hit the market — it's so new that we haven't even reviewed it yet! The START is an entry-level GPS with basic features, but it still includes TomTom's IQ Routes technology, an EasyPort mounting system and TomTom's latest map guarantee. The TomTom START also has spoken street names and is pre-installed with speed and red light camera alerts. This device is perfect for your Christmas shopping list; Dick Smith is [[xref:http://www.dse.com.au/cgi-bin/dse.storefront/4afc8faf0606c1ba273fc0a87e0106bb/Product/View/D4533|slashing $12 off the RRP]], which is a good deal considering it only just hit the shelves!
  • [[artnid:210416|Canon IXUS 80 IS digital camera|Review: Canon IXUS 80 digital camera]]

Price: $209 (Save: $170) It may not have as many megapixels as the majority of this year's cameras, but the 8-megapixel Canon IXUS 80, which has been around for18 months, is still very good value for money. You can pick it up at [[xref:http://www.digitalcamerawarehouse.com.au/category8_1.htm|Digital Camera Warehouse|Web site: Digital Camera Warehouse]] for only $209, which is $170 less than when it was initially released, and you'll get a free camera case worth $39. Rest assured, for that price you're getting a solidly built small camera with all the fancy features you'll need for everyday use, such as image stabilisation and motion detection, but above all, its image quality is a cut above other cameras at this low price point.

Price: $137 (Save: $82) The HP Photosmart C5380 remains one of our favourite multifunction printers for the family, and as time progresses it's only getting cheaper (originally it cost $219). That doesn't impact on its quality or features, however; it still prints great photos quickly, and can label your CDs and DVDs with ease. Officeworks is [[xref:http://catalogues.officeworks.com.au/portal/offerdetails/hp_photosmart_c5380_multifunction/12573847458618?CatalogueID=12573847435529&CatalogueID=&source=catalogueoffer&jump=&pageview=two|currently offering|Officeworks: HP Photosmart C5380 inkjet multifunction]] this versatile printer for just $137.

  • [[artnid:320795|HP Pavilion dv2-1132AX notebook|Review: HP Pavilion dv2-1132AX notebook]]

Price: $999 (Save: $300) AMD doesn't get a lot of airtime when it comes to notebooks (or anything else these days), but the HP Pavilion DV2-1001AU is a swift and thin model that's well worth your attention. It's a 12.1in laptop, so it's slightly bigger than a netbook, yet it's three times as powerful. It initially cost $1299 when we reviewed it last month, but you can pick it up from [[xref: http://www.lmc.com.au/products/Notebook_Computers/HP_Compaq/569475/HP_Pavilion_DV2-1001AU_%5BNU317PA%5D_AMD_Athlon_Neo_1.6GHz/2Gb/250Gb/HDMI/Webcam/WLAN/12.1%5C%22WXGA/Vista_Home_Basic|Landmark Computers for $999|Web site: Landmark Computers]].
