This is Octek's little NVIDIA Ion-based platform, which runs an Intel Atom 330 CPU. It's used to drive public signage displays and can process Full HD video without tearing or stuttering. They can be installed in a bracket and mounted behind a screen; a neat and out of the way solution. -
HP
[[artnid:315090|Our favourite netbook]] gets a new look and a new CPU. The 10.1in HP Mini 5102 doesn't have a Core CPU in it, but instead an Intel Atom N450 CPU. If all you need is a small and basic notebook with a good keyboard, then this is the one to get. It's also available with a touch screen. -
Fujitsu
This is Fujitsu's SH760. What's unique about this model is that it has a dedicated circular pad (called ther Scroll Wheel) that you can use to scroll through and rotate photos. It's definitely a nifty feature. You can also charge USB devices such as the iPhone when the notebook is switched off. The SH760 is available with a Core i7 CPU. -
Toshiba
Toshiba's eye-catching product was the Qosmio F60, which is an entertainment notebook featuring the Core i7-620M CPU. It's a 15.6in notebook that can take up to 8GB of RAM, 500GB of storage space and it runs 64-bit Windows 7. -
Fujitsu
The lid has a chrome Fujitsu logo on it, which the ladies (and some of the fellas) seemed to love. -

It looks better on the inside than it does on the outside. -
Dell
Dell's Precision M6400 Covet Mobile Workstation wasn't on display at the Intel launch, but we had a look at it earlier in the day. It's a 17in, Core i7-based notebook with a Full HD screen, a 1GB ATI FirePro M7740 or NVIDIA Quadro FX 3700M graphics card, and it can accommodate up to two hard drives and 16GB of DDR3 SDRAM. It's been built for designers, animators and anyone who needs stacks of power for modelling programs. -

Ocean Office Automation was on hand to showcase its small footprint PCs. This is the Octek ITX DH55 WiFi, which is a Core i5-based (or Core i3-based) Mini-ITX PC. It would make for a great little office machine as you can just plonk the monitor on top of it. -
Intel yesterday had a fancy launch for its Core i3, [[artnid:332345|Core i5]] and Core i7 CPUs. With over a dozen vendors on hand to showcase their latest laptops, PCs and more, the event was the largest we've seen in some time and there was a suitably large crowd on hand to take it all in.
The big thing about the new CPUs is their integrated HD graphics chip, which should enable vendors to make smaller and cooler running PCs. Unfortunately, only a couple of vendors -- Altech and Octek -- showed off small desktop PCs. Most of focus was on mid-sized notebooks and mobile workstations. -
Altech
Altech's stand was perhaps one of the most refreshing. This is one of the company's small form factor PCs with a Core i5 in it. -
Fujitsu
Fujitsu's LH700 uses a Core i3 CPU and is aimed primarily at women. It features a pink coloured lid and chassis, as well as white keys with pink coloured letters. -

Altech's Mestro Professional HD media centre PC features a Core i5-660 CPU and up to 1.5TB of storage. It's perfect for the living room. -

Gamers will love this little powerhouse, which doesn't compromise in processing power, only in size. It's a nifty little unit to take to LAN parties. -
ASUS
ASUS showed off its 16in N-series notebooks, which are available with Core i5-520M and Core i7-720QM CPus, 64-bit Windows 7, ATI Mobility Radeon HD5730 graphics, up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM and up to 640GB of storage.
The K-series was also on show. This is available in 15.6in and 17.3in sizes and uses Core i3-350M, Core i5-520M or Core i5-430M CPUs. They can also be configured with up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, run 64-bit Windows 7, and are available with up to 500GB of storage. -
HP
The HP Touchsmart TM2 is a tablet-convertible notebook with plenty of style. It has a 12.1in screen and an ATI graphics card, but it's not available with a Core i3 or Core i5 CPU just yet. Because it's a small unit, it needs a low-voltage CPU; HP has used a Core 2 Duo SU7300 in this model. -

HP's 14in Elitebook 8440P is for users who want plenty of power and a strong chassis. It's made out of magnesium alloy and complies with the military standard for durability (MIL-STD 810G). It's available with Core i5 or Core i7 CPUs, up to 8GB of RAM and 512MB NVIDIA NVS 3100 graphics. -

If you want the fastest PC on the block for gaming, then the overclocked Altech NRG is for you. -
Sony
Sony's 13.3in VAIO Y Series laptop was on display, and this is another model with a low-voltage Core 2 Duo CPU rather than a Core i3 or a Core i5 CPU. Sony's S Series and F Series notebooks were also on display and these are available with Core i7/Core i5 and Core i5/Core i3 CPUs, respectively. -
Lenovo
Lenovo's ThinkPad T510 was front and centre on Lenovo's stand. It's a model designed for business users and can be bought with a Core i5-520M, Core i5-540M or Core i7-620M CPU and up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM. Their best feature: dual hard drives. You can get one solid-state drive as your system drive, and you can get up to 500GB for your secondary drive. -
MSI
MSI has revamped its 17in gaming notebook. The MSI GT740 can be purchased with a Core i7 CPU, a 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250M graphics card, 4GB of RAM and up to 500GB of storage. -
Octek
This is Octek's Desktop DH55, which is slightly bigger, and offers more room for expansion. It can be configured with either a Core i3 or a Core i5, and again, it won't take up too much space in an office environment.
