We unbox the hotly-anticipated Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Android tablet

  • The rear of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 has a soft, leather-style finish. This makes is very easy to grip, and comfortable to hold. The 3-megapixel rear camera with flash is located at the top, along a stylish, silver strip.

  • The sales package of the Samsung Galaxy 10.1 includes a Samsung USB cable, a power adapter in two pieces, a quick start guide and a pair of headphones (not shown).

  • The bottom edge of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 houses Samsung's dock connector, which looks remarkably similar to Apple's dock connector.

  • Lift of the lid and you'll find a white flap covering the contents of the package. The glossy plastic is attached to the Galaxy Tab 10.1's front and rear for protection: we peeled it off in advance.

  • The top edge of the Galaxy Tab 10.1. You can see the SIM card slot (our review unit is a 3G model) along with a headphone jack, volume buttons and a power/lock key.

  • The rear of the box. Our review unit had all the details printed in Spanish. "El Galaxy Tab 10.1 nos ofrece el paquete completo de aplicaciones existentes..." Don't ask us for a translation.

  • The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is both thin and very lightweight. It is very easy to hold with either one or two hands.
