Samsung's new NX300 camera was launched in Australia yesterday. It's a 'compact system camera', with interchangeable lenses like a digital SLR, and a picture sensor that's just as big as most high-end cameras.

It's got a 20.3-megapixel sensor in its slim body, and comes in either white-on-white, brown-on-silver, or black-on-silver leather and aluminium chassis.

Locally, you'll be able to buy the NX300 with either the 18-55mm OIS lens, or the more compact 20-50mm lens.

The camera's rear 3.3-inch AMOLED screen can tilt up and down, and you've got all the usual controls you'd find on an enthusiast-level camera.

Here's the NX300 body with the two kit lenses to choose from. the 20-50mm is much smaller, but covers less range as well as missing out on optical image stabilisation.
