In pictures: Canon's monster 50.6-megapixel EOS 5Ds and EOS 5DsR

Canon EOS 5Ds: a full-format camera with a 35mm CMOS sensor that now packs 50.6-megapixels. The rush of pixels up the clarity of images and boosts the ability of the camera to work for large photographic projects such as billboards and magazine covers.
Canon EOS 5Ds: twin Digic 6 processors are used to crunch the data from the large sensor, as well as reduce noise, and facilitate fast frame rates.
Canon EOS 5Ds: up to five frames per second can be captured in high-speed continuous mode.
Canon EOS 5Ds: there is a 61-point autofocus system that features tracking and recognition of a subject.
Canon EOS 5Ds: it's built from magnesium alloy, is weather resistant, there is a 3.2in anti-reflective screen, a 100 per cent viewfinder, and there are new customisable quick controls.
Canon EOS 5DsR: the EOS 5DsR is the same as the EOS 5Ds, except that is also has the ability to bypass the low-pass filter. This means the camera captures images that are sharper, owing to the fact that they are not passed through the low-pass filter, which would otherwise blur them. It's ideally suited for landscape photographers. Both the EOS 5Ds and the EOS 5DsR will be availabe in June 2015.
