Top ADSL2+ modems
If you're looking for a new ADSL2+ modem that will be quick and reliable, check these out.
If you're looking for a new ADSL2+ modem that will be quick and reliable, consider these models in our top 5. Note that most of these products also have routers built in, and we've selected them on purpose because all-in-one devices such as these are much easier to set up and use -- especially for inexperienced users -- rather than separate modems that then need to be attached to routers in order to share the Internet connection.
The Fritz!Box 7390 is not only a modem, but also a fully-featured wireless router. It's arguably the best networking device on the Australian market and we found it to be super-reliable and well performing during our test period. It's our number one recommendation.
The Fritz!Box is fairly pricey though, so we've also included Billion's 7700N in our list, which is an inexpensive yet well performing ADSL2+ router. Along the same lines are the ASUS DSL-N10 and TP-Link's TD-W8950ND, which are simple and do their job well.
Netgear's N600 is also included, but like the Fritz!Box, it's a hefty investment. We like it because it also offers very good storage sharing features.
