Amazon Prime Video App Comes To Playstation

Australian customers for Amazon’s Prime Video can now access the latest TV shows and films on the streaming service via their Playstation 4 or Playstation 3.

“Starting today, players can download and access the Amazon Prime Video app from TV & Video on PlayStation®4 (PS4™) and TV/Video Services on PlayStation®3 (PS3™) to enjoy streaming popular Amazon Original Series such as The Tick, The Grand Tour, The Man in the High Castle, Transparent, Mozart in the Jungle, American Gods, and Goliath along with popular Hollywood movies and TV shows”, Sony Interactive Entertainment Australia confirmed in a press release.

“With around half a billion hours of video being watched in the SIEE region each month, Amazon Prime Video offers players additional entertainment choice on PS4 and PS3,” they added.

The move itself marks a small-but-vital expansion for Amazon Prime, which launched into the Australian market late last year. Since then, Amazon have been offering an introductory price of US$2.99 per month for the service.
