Kogan Launches Google-Powered TV

Kogan has launched its first ever range of Google-powered televisions.

Now available for pre-sale, the Kogan Smarter TV 50” and 58” usher in a new era of big screen entertainment coupled with the latest Google technology.

Both models combine a 4K screen with the best smart TV interface. Android TV now features Google Assistant built in. This new technology means you can control your TV using the Google Assistant with the microphone built into the remote control. You get all your favourite apps, all the benefits of Chromecast, but with no dongles.

“We’ve been working on this range for over a year,” said Ruslan Kogan, Founder and CEO of kogan.com.

“This is not a slight improvement. This is a watershed moment for TV technology. Let’s face it. TV remotes have served their purpose over the past few decades, but they were never designed to deal with today’s technology.”

“Now, you can pick up the remote, and say ‘OK Google, play Stranger Things through Netflix on the TV,’ and you’ll be off,” added Kogan.

Unlike some of the competition, Kogan will not charge its customers to get a smart microphone-remote. The Kogan Smarter range will ship with voice control right out of the box.

Kogan say they have been working with local partners to ensure full Australian network compatibility and integration of ABC iview, SBS On Demand, 7Plus, 9Now and tenplay.

The Kogan Smarter 50” is on pre-sale for $599 and the Kogan Smarter 58” is on pre-sale for $799. The Kogan Smarter range is only available at kogan.com.
