Boost Mobile invest in esports through new sponsorships

Boost Mobile has announced several new partnerships that see the youth-focused telco expand into the world of esports.

“We are excited about the future of esports and believe this is a fast-evolving and dynamic area, a new form of entertainment, where data and a great network have an important role to play. Esports and the broader gaming community is an area that appeals to our customers who are digital natives, and we are delighted to both show our support and use this platform to further build our brand,” said Jason Haynes, General Manager of Boost Mobile Australia.

The company has signed on as the official telco partner of this weekends’ Melbourne Esports Open, naming rights sponsor for the new Supercars E-Series, and telco partner of Australian esports team, The Chiefs Esports Club.

“After spending some time within the esports community, it is clear that there is a great fit between Boost Mobile and the world of pro-gaming. It involves much more than just playing, but also uploading and sharing content, watching others play, and live streaming tournaments. This is where it becomes incredibly important to have a reliable 4G mobile network.”

As part of the sponsorship, Boost Mobile will have an activation area at the MEO which will include a GT3 Mclaren from its Mobil 1 Supercars fleet to celebrate the launch of the Supercars E-Series.

There will also be a giveaways plus as meet and greets with both The Chiefs and professional Supercars drivers like Scott Pye.

The Melbourne Esports Open will take place this weekend at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena. You can find more information about and sign up to Boost Mobile's latest prepaid plans through their website.
