Ted’s World of Imaging opening in Sydney

Ted’s Cameras has launched a new retail space, Ted’s World of Imaging, in the heart of Sydney.

The concept store will be a hub of education and collaboration with a calendar of events, workshops, one-on-ones and immersive experiences for customers, according to Ted’s Cameras.

“After almost 50 years of being at the forefront of this industry, Ted’s is staying young by rejuvenating its operations and changing what it means to be a photographic retailer,” said Nic Peasley, CEO of Ted’s Cameras.

“We’re going to deliver an entirely new way of experiencing photography, where anyone interested in the image in all its forms can visit us and be inspired to learn and create. This is the biggest investment ever made in one store by an Australian photo retailer.”

By collaborating with international photographic brands such as Nikon, Canon, Panasonic, Fuji, Sony, Olympus, GoPro and more, Ted’s Cameras will bring together a retail space, gallery, workshop space, education centre and photography studio.

“It will be a true game changer not only for Ted’s Cameras but also for the photographic industry in Australia. Digital cameras and accessories are products that many customers still want to touch and try before they buy. Our new centre will assist these customers – whether professional, student or beginner – on their product purchase journey and help to nurture a life-long relationship with photography,” added Peasley.

Members of the public can win tickets to attend the VIP launch event on Thursday 18 October. Full details are on the Ted’s website. The event will be live-streamed from the Ted’s Facebook Page, with major prizes given out over the night for those at home.
