CES 2019: Australia is about to get a taste of Hisense's new soundbars

Hisense has confirmed they'll be expanding their Australian range to include soundbars in 2019.

Andre Iannuzzi, Head of Marketing at Hisense Australia says that “At Hisense we continue to innovate with the latest technologies to provide our Australian consumers with the ultimate at-home cinematic experience. This year, we’ve put an even greater emphasis on sound to ensure we can deliver on this and the introduction of the sound bar range is yet another example of how we are responding to consumer demand.”

“2019 is set to be our biggest year yet. Launching sound bars in the Australian market, together with significant audio improvements across our TVs is all part of our mission to provide our Australian customers with even greater opportunities to immerse themselves in a premium, at-home viewing experience,” Iannuzzi noted.

Overseas, Hisense has been offering soundbars for some time. However, this will be the first time Australian customers have the chance to pair their ULED TV with a Hisense soundbar.

Hisense's Australian soundbar range will consist of two products: a Hisense 5.1.2 channel Dolby Atmos Sound Bar and a more-entry level Hisense 2.1 channel Sound Bar with wireless subwoofer.

The former comes with 11 built-in speakers, 4 upward-firing drivers plus DTS:X, 4K and HDR pass-through. The latter comes certified for Dolby Digital and DTS sound.

No word yet on price but Hisense say that both soundbars are due to arrive in the first half of 2019.
