The U4 is Samsung’s other new player. It focuses on packing plenty of power and functionality into a tiny chassis.
Samsung’s Q1 player has an innovative design and a class-leading video and audio feature set.
The U4 has an integrated USB plug that allows it to be plugged directly into a PC or Mac, eliminating the need for any cables.
The U4 has Samsung’s Digital Natural Sound Engine 2.0 with 9 different equaliser settings, in order to allow for the best possible music playback.
Samsung’s Digital Natural Sound Engine 3.0 allows for smooth and clean reproduction of audio files, with technology to regenerate some of the damage done by MP3 compression.
The 4GB model of the Samsung U4 is priced at only $109.
The Q1 is available now at a price of $209 for the 8GB model, while the 16GB model retails for $289.
The Q1 comes with Samsung’s EmoDio software to allow easy upload of music, video, text and image files to the player.
Album artwork is also supported; 13 equaliser presets will allow users to alter sound reproduction to suit their tastes.
