In pictures: HTC's latest Windows Mobile smartphones

HTC Australia launched three new smartphones this week: the HTC Snap, the HTC Touch Diamond 2 and the HTC Touch Pro 2.

  • The Touch Diamond 2 retains many design features of its predecessor, but has much improved software. A new feature is the unified contacts list that provides a single view for text, voice and e-mail conversations.

  • The HTC Snap is a non-touch-screen smartphone with a full QWERTY keyboard. It runs Windows Mobile 6.1. A key feature is what HTC has dubbed the "inner circle" — pressing this button allows users to quickly see e-mails from up to 10 preselected contacts.

  • The HTC [[artnid:306765|Touch Diamond 2]] is an upgrade to the original [[artnid:255266|Touch Diamond]] and is a full touch-screen smartphone with HTC's TouchFLO user interface. A new touch-sensitive zoom bar allows you to quickly zoom into Web pages and other applications, including Google Maps.

  • The Touch Pro 2 is aimed at business and corporate users and has a dedicated conference call interface and a speakerphone that is activated by placing the smartphone face down on a table.

  • The HTC [[artnid:307087|Touch Pro 2]] is a replacement for the [[artnid:261804|Touch Pro]]. The Touch Pro 2 includes a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and a 3.6in display.

  • The HTC Snap has a matte black, rubber-style finish and is just 12mm thick.
