Nokia unveils N97 mini, X6 and X3 smartphones

  • The Nokia X3 is a cheaper version of the X6. It is the first Symbian Series 40 mobile phone to come preloaded with the Ovi Store application.

  • The X3 has a 3.2-megapixel camera and a 2.2in display, though it lacks a touch screen and instead features a slide-up, numeric keypad.

  • The X3 features dedicated music keys and can hold up to 16GB of data thanks to a microSD card. It also has a standard 3.5mm headphone jack. Australian pricing and availability of the N97 mini, the X6 and the X3 have yet to be announced.

  • Nokia's X6 is the company's latest touch-screen music smartphone. The X6 has 32GB of internal memory and a capacitive 3.2in touch screen.

  • The Nokia X6 comes preloaded with Nokia's Ovi Store application and its home screen houses contacts and social-networking widgets for one-touch access.

  • The N97 mini is the first mobile phone that comes preloaded with Nokia's Lifecasting with Ovi application. This social-networking tool lets users publish their location and update their Facebook status through the Ovi service.

  • The X6 will be bundled with Nokia's Comes With Music service when it launches in Australia. Comes With Music allows unlimited music downloads from the Nokia Music Store for a certain time period, usually 12 months.

  • The Nokia N97 mini is a slightly smaller version of the regular N97 and features a part stainless steel body. It retains most of the original N97's design points, including a tilting touch-screen display, though the screen is slightly smaller at 3.2in and internal memory is reduced to 8GB.

  • The N97 mini has an upgraded Symbian operating system, which will also be available as a software update for regular N97 owners. Improvements include new home screen widgets and a tweaked scrolling system.
