    Price: $898 (Save: $401)

Sanyo's 37in [[artnid:323237|LCD37XR9DA LCD television]] offers good picture quality for a price that beats big-name brands' competing products. Its 1366x768 resolution may not be as detailed as Full HD 1080p, but for watching broadcast digital TV and DVDs it's perfectly okay. • Epson Stylus Office TX610FW inkjet multifunction

    Price: $189 (Save $60)

[[Artnid:318619|Epson's Stylus Office TX610FW inkjet multifunction]] is affordable and offers numerous features including a fax, wireless connectivity and low consumable costs. It isn't the fastest printer available, but for the original RRP of $249 it's a reasonable purchase for the small office or even the home. However, if that's not enough for you, Officeworks is [[xref:http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/products/Technology/Printers-Faxes-and-Multifunctions/Inkjet-Multifunctions/Multifunction-Including-Fax/EPTX610FW|currently offering the printer for $189]] — $60 off. If you need something to print off homework as your kids head back to school, this multifunction should definitely come in handy.

  • ASUS UL50VT notebook

    Price: $1299 (Save: $199)

[[xref:http://event.asus.com/au/2010/backtoschool/|ASUS|Web site: ASUS]] is offering its UL50VT notebook for $1299 with a free upgrade to a three-year global warranty. ASUS says the warranty is worth $199, and it's a back-to-school special that's only available if you have a student ID. We think it's a sweet deal for a laptop that will be clocking up a lot of kilometres between the home and campus. The laptop itself is sensational; you get an Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 CPU, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 15.6in screen and a 500GB hard drive. It even comes with a 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 210M graphics adapter. It looks very stylish and has plenty of useful ports, including HDMI. While we haven't reviewed this particular model, [[xref:http://www.pcworld.idg.com.au/section/notebooks/products?sort=1|check out some of the other ASUS notebooks we've seen recently]] (select ASUS from the 'brand' drop-down list).
  • Christmas may be over, but that doesn't mean the savings are. With students shortly heading back to school, there are plenty of bargains to be found. We round up some of the best of the week, including dirt cheap mobile broadband, Google's first smartphone and a great ASUS notebook!

The [[xref:http://shop.three.com.au/broadband-prepay-details/Prepaid-USB-Modem-E1553-Black?intcmp=W0150|E1153 Internet key]] will give you similar performance to the [[artnid:302374|E160 Internet key]] and also has the advantage of roaming on Telstra's Next G network. It's ideal for university students who need mobile Internet access and, best of all, it's yours for just $79. 3 throws in 200MB of data to get you started.

Though not officially sold in Australia, online mobile phone retailer [[xref:http://www.mobicity.com.au|MobiCity]] is currently selling an import model of the Nexus One, which runs the latest version of the Google Android operating system. It can currently be [[xref:http://www.mobicity.com.au/google-nexus-one.html|yours for $899]] and is a valid alternative to the [[artnid:309245|iPhone 3GS]].
  • Lexar memory cards and USB flash drives

Lexar is offering prizes worth over $20,000 for anyone who purchases a [[artnid:37411|JumpDrive Lightning|Review: Lexar JumpDrive USB flash drive]], Retrax USB flash drive or a memory module for a notebook. The offer is part of Lexar's back-to-school push and it's good until 28 February. On offer are daily prizes, including copies of Norton 360; monthly prizes including an HP Mini netbook; and major prizes includes an HP Touchsmart PC, Photosmart printer or a Logitech desktop package. To be in the running, you need to SMS the last six digits of the barcode on your new Lexar memory product to 1999 2653. You'll also need to include your full name and state. It's not a bad little incentive to buy Lexar memory products, especially with prices currently so low (for example, an 8GB JumpDrive Retrax can be purchased for under $35). Price: $1549 (Save: $350)

The [[artnid:311577|Panasonic TH-P42S10A]] is a very competent mid-size television set that has great picture quality and lower power consumption than competing plasma models. You can find it dirt-cheap as television prices fall lower and lower — it's available [[xref:http://www.lasoo.com.au/offer/plasma-televisions/panasonic-viera-plasma-tv/4h1t9l2u7.html|at Betta Electrical]] for a measly $1549, saving you $350.
