In pictures: HP Pavilion X360 red Beats Audio hybrid laptop

If you love your Beats by Dre headphones, perhaps you might also enjoy this Beats-themed hybrid tablet-laptop from HP

  • HP's bright red Pavilion X360 (or 11-n008TU if you want to get specific), is an entry-level hybrid laptop with an 11.6in screen that can be easily converted into a tablet. The hinge is designed in such a way so that you can simply tilt it all the way back, then over the rear of the laptop. It's similar to Lenovo's Yoga hybrid in that respect.

  • It might look like a regular laptop, but it's not until you start tilting the screen back that you realise it's much more than that.

  • Still a regular laptop.

  • Now this is cool!

  • And here we are in tablet mode.

  • It's quite thick in tablet mode, but that's because the keyboard has shifted around the other side of the screen. Plus it's designed to be an inexpensive product, so you can't expect it to be super-sleek.

  • Since the keyboard wraps around and your hand ends up hitting keys when you hold the X360 as a laptop, the keyboard is disabled when the device is used as a tablet.

  • The red paint job looks great on this hybrid device, and it has a graphite pattern that you can see if you look at it up close.

  • Beats Audio is featured on this hybrid, and its red theme will go nicely with your Beats headphones (the X360 doesn't ship with headphones).

  • There's a good selection of ports along the sides, including USB 2.0 and a headset port on the left side. You can also find the physical volume buttons on this side.

  • The right side has the good stuff: a full-sized SD card slot, another USB 2.0 port, a USB 3.0 port, full-sized HDMI, and even a built-in Ethernet port.

  • Since it's an inexpensive device (the price is $599), it doesn't have super-fast processing on the inside. You get an Intel Celeron N2820 CPU, 4GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, and a 1366x768-pixel screen. It also has Bluetooth and single-band, 802.11n Wi-Fi. We'll be bringing you a full review of this unit soon, so stay tuned.
