Up close: HP e-All-in-One printers

HP unveiled a new range of Web-enabled printers yesterday, as well as its ePrint service, Apps platform and iPrint Photo for Android smartphones

    HP unveiled a new range of Web-enabled printers yesterday, as well as its ePrint service, Apps platform and iPrint Photo for Android smartphones.

    Hitting Australian shores in October, the HP Photosmart Plus e-All-in-One features a 3.5in touchscreen and comes with apps for printing custom content like greeting cards without even turning on a PC.

  • The Photosmart Plus e-All-in-One is able to print, scan and copy and has wireless connectivity. It can print from Android, Windows Mobile and iPhone handsets.

  • The Photosmart Premium e-All-in-One is HP’s top-of-the-line Web-connected printer and has a 4.3in touchscreen and Wi-Fi connectivity.

  • According to HP the Photosmart Premium is 30 per cent more energy-efficient than standard printers. The printer will be available in Australia in October.

  • The Photosmart Premium Fax e-All-in-One has full wireless connectivity: users can print by connecting the printer to a wireless network or they can use the ePrint service. Available in September 2010.

  • Available in July, the HP Photosmart Wireless e-All-in-One is intended to be an affordable model for users who want Web-based printing.

  • HP's iPrint Photo app is now available for Android smartphones. Ths app is also available for Apple's iPad/iPhone platform and Windows Mobile smartphones. iPrint Photo allows the user to print photos from smartphones to HP printers that are connected to a wireless network.
