IMSI releases Gamers Edition of CD Copier

IMSI has released a software utility that allows users to copy the contents of CD-ROMs to their hard drives, with compression rates of up to 80 per cent.

CD Copier Gamer's Edition allows users to create "virtual CDs" on their hard drives -- particularly useful for gamers, says IMSI, who use multi-disc games, avoiding the need to swap CDs during gameplay. Virtual CDs on the hard drive can also be accessed faster than CDs in the CD-ROM drive, says IMSI.

CD Copier Gamer's Edition is priced at $59.95 and runs on Windows 95, 98 and NT 4.0. Minimum requirements include a Pentium processor or better, 16MB hard disk space (plus a recommended 500MB for the virtual CDs you create), and 32MB of RAM.
