The future of Netscape's Australian operations are still unclear, the company releasing news late yesterday that a change of business model will affect how Netscape operates worldwide.
The new business model will most likely be commented on when Netscape releases its financial results next week for the last financial year, a Netscape spokeswoman said.
The change will see Netscape sell its products and services differently. Netscape has said, though, that its worldwide professional services division -- system designers who implement Netscape products for large Australian corporates -- will remain in Australia.
Netscape's Hong Kong office was closed this week, its operations being transferred to the company's South Asia headquarters in Singapore. This fuelled rumours that the Australian office of Netscape was also facing closure.
