New Versa features 300MHz Pentium II mobile processor

NEC has released its Versa LX notebook with the new 300MHz Pentium II mobile processor. Aimed at corporates requiring high-powered systems, the notebook ($10,010 RRP) also includes:

A 14.1in and 13.3in XGA TFT or a 12.1in SVGA display. The screen, with new NEC technology, now weighs up to 20 per cent less than traditional screens and consumes less power, says NEC.

A hard disk drive in either 3.2GB, 5.0GB or 6.4GB capacities.

ATI 3D Rage Pro graphics with 4MB of VRAM.

A built-in floppy drive, hard-disk drive and a modular "ultra-slim" VeraBay III that accepts a 24x CD-ROM, DVD drive, LS-120 disk drive, a second battery or a second hard drive.
