Windows-based thin client gets audio

A thin client terminal that supports audio has been announced by Boundless Technologies and Citrix Systems -- a development, which brings multimedia to Windows-based terminals.

Audio capabilities can be added to Boundless' Viewpoint TC Windows-based terminal with any Soundblaster-compatible sound card. According to Boundless, this development has been made possible by Citrix's MetaFrame thin-client/server software.

Boundless has also announced a new network text terminal for the mainframe terminal market, the Viewpoint TC model 125.
