Hot Key is now distributing two new software products from Traveling Software, catering for the PC support professionals and end users requiring remote access solutions.
LapLink Tech ($299 RRP) targets corporate technical support providers, providing users with the ability to set up and upgrade PCs, solve problems and work against viruses, all from a remote location. Simultaneous connections to PCs, simultaneous guest and host functionality, and bi-directional printing features are also offered. Disk cloning is provided with Ghost Special Edition, Dr Solomon's WinGuard is integrated for virus protection and simultaneous voice chat whilst controlling a PC remotely enables support staff to talk to users whilst diagnosing and solving technical problems.
Remote DeskLink ($99 RRP) is the second product being launched by Hot Key and targets Windows 95, NT and 98 users wanting to access their work PC remotely. The product features easy set up -- according to Hot Key, DeskLink automatically configures modems and network devices for remote access use. Users can customise the program to increase access speed and performance by limiting the number of colours displayed, filtering large program bitmaps and storing and retrieving images from the hard drive of the home PC.
