Compaq's Creation Studio for graphics professionals

Compaq has announced Creation Studio, a full publishing solution for graphics professionals.

The box is a Windows NT system with either Compaq's Alpha 500MHz, Intel 300MHz or Intel 333MHz Pentium II processors. The systems includes a 24x CD drive, Iomega Zip drive, 8MB video memory upgrade for Permedia II graphics (for true colour at 1280 x 1024).

The software bundle includes CorelDraw (v7 on Intel, v8 on Alpha), Dragon NaturallySpeaking speech recognition, Dragon Command and Control, Microsoft Internet Explorer 4, Internet Roadmap CD, MetaCreations Painter 5, and Font Navigator with 50 fonts.

There is a choice of graphics cards: Permedia P2, Matrox Millenium II, Compaq PowerStorm or AccelGraphics (ELSA or Oxygen).

Compaq's Creation Studio starts at $5972 for the Intel 300MHz, and $6521 for the Intel 300MHz and Alpha 500MHz.
