A range of Intel-based PCs for budget-concious buyers has been launched by electrical retail chain, Retravision NSW.
Priced from $1999, the series is called Cybermate Intel, and features Celeron or Pentium II processors. The range represents Retravision NSW' first foray into brand-name PC marketing -- the company previously focused on scaled-down "bare bones" boxes aimed at the budget PC market.
The Cybermate Intel series currently includes four PCs -- The $1999 Cybermate Intel SchoolMate, featuring: a 266MHz Celeron processor, 3.2GB hard drive, 32MB RAM, 14in monitor and an internal 56K fax/modem.
The $2599 Cybermate Intel Net Pro -- based on the SchoolMate's configuration, with a 15in monitor, 4.3GB hard drive, and a bundled Lexmark 1100 printer.
The $2899 Cybermate Intel Evolution, with a 300MHz Celeron, 4.3GB hard drive, 32MB RAM, 15in monitor and a 56K internal fax/modem.
And lastly, the $3999 Cybermate Intel Games Pro PC, which includes a 350MHz Pentium II processor, 64MB RAM, 6.4GB hard drive, 3D stereo soundcard, 15in monitor, 56K internal fax/modem, sub woofer speakers, and an Intel 8MB 3D AGP graphics card.
