Gateway has launched its first PCs to include Intel's new 450MHz Pentium II processor.
Gamers will be pleased with the G6-450XL ($6599 RRP), which has been designed especially with "blistering multimedia" in mind. The standard G6-450XL features include: 450MHz Pentium II processor, 19in monitor, DVD II-ROM drive, 128MB SDRAM, 12MB 3Dfx Voodoo II, 8MB 3D AGP graphics accelerator, 14.4GB Ultra ATA hard drive, and a Telepath 56K V.90 data/fax modem.
A lower price bracket and aimed at users looking for rich multimedia and "raw computing power", says Gateway, the G6-450 ($4999 RRP), includes: a 450MHz Pentium II processor, 17in monitor, 8.4GB hard drive, DVD II-ROM drive, 8MB 3D AGP graphics accelerator, 128MB SDRAM, Soundblaster Audio PCI 64V, and a 56K V.90 data/fax modem.
A third 450MHz PC has been released by Gateway, the GP6-450, featuring: 128MB SDRAM, 17in monitor, 8MB 3D AGP graphics accelerator, 32x CD-ROM drive, and a Soundblaster Audio PCI 64V. The GP6-450 is available at $3999.
