Toshiba has launched what it hopes will be on the wish list of every corporate road warrior, its Portege 3010 notebook. The new notebook weighs in at 1.19kg and is just under 20mm in thickness, yet contains a 266MHz mobile Pentium MMX processor, 32MB EDO RAM, 512Kb of level 2 cache and a 4.1GB hard drive.
Priced at $4,395 the notebook delivers 2.6 hours of power from its Li Ion battery, accepts both modem and Ethernet PC card adapters, includes a USB and 4Mbit/s IrDA 1.1 infrared port and has an external floppy disk drive.
