Canon introduces world's smallest portable printer

In early August Canon will release what is calling "the world's smallest portable colour printer, with optional full colour scanning capabilities".

The BJC-50 weighs 900g and measures 302mm x 112.5mm x 49mm. It has a built-in rechargeable battery (up to 100 A4 pages per charge) and prints at 5.5ppm monochrome with the optional sheet feeder, and 2.1ppm in colour. An AC adapter is also included.

Infrared comms allows communication with notebooks and PCs with infrared capability. The $149 optional Colour Image Scanner Cartridge can be substituted for the inkjet cartridge, and allows 360dpi colour scanning.

The BJC-50 comes with a upgradeable one-year warranty and has a RRP of $699. For more information call Canon on (02) 9805 2000 or visit www.canon.com.au
