Thieves got away with $140,000 worth of electrical goods after breaking into Dick Smith’s Powerhouse store in Penrith on Tuesday.
The store, which is located on the corner of Batt St and Mulgoa Rd in South Penrith, was broken into between 4am and 4.45 am. According to NSW Police, a range of IT and electrical hardware was taken including 50 HP, Toshiba and Acer laptops, digital cameras, UHF scanners, mobile phones and home projectors.
A spokesperson for the store said it was still open for trade but would not comment further on the break-in. Police said the thieves broke in via a storage area.
Police investigating the incident are looking for a male who was wearing a grey jumper, dark track pants with a white stripe down the length of the leg, joggers, grey gloves and a black balaclava.
