UK company Pure has announced the release of the Sirocco 150 — a DAB (digital audio broadcast) radio that is also compatible with the iPhone 3G and iPod Touch.
The Pure Sirocco 150 is the world’s first DAB radio to achieve both “Made for iPod” and “Works with iPhone” certification from Apple, and features a range of inputs including SD card and USB playback. MP3 and WMA files are supported, with sound reproduced by a 25W pair of bookshelf speakers with 4in bass drivers and 1.5in tweeters.
An equaliser and bass/treble presets allow listeners to tailor sound to their tastes. The system can also be used as an alarm clock.
No release information is currently available for Australia, but the Pure Sirocco 150 will go on sale in June in the UK for £149.99.
