In a blog post Google software engineer, Wenzhang Zhu, has announced the availability of the Google Translate for iPhone app.
Along with text input, Google Translate for iPhone app accepts voice input in 15 languages; phrases can be translated into 50 languages.
In 2008 the search giant launched an HTML5 Google Translate site optimised for use with the iPhone.
Australian users can download Google Translate for free from the iPhone App Store.
