HTC has just announced the first Windows Phone 7 device with a 4.3-inch screen for AT&T.

This phone is definitely aimed at consumers with an eye toward entertainment. It features Dolby Mobile and SRS WOW HD surround audio, and it integrates with Xbox LIVE and Zune. It has a G-Sensor for gaming, and features a kickstand so you can sit back and watch video. The screen looks to be a big, bright Super-LCD WVGA. This is a big deal, since the T-Mobile version of this phone, the HD7, had a screen that wasn't so hot. sLCD is comparable to Super AMOLED, which should make those colors really pop.

Under the hood it's got a 1GHz Snapdragon (maybe a disappointment for folks who were hoping it would sport a dual-core processor), 512MB of ROM and 16GB of internal storage. It also sports 576MB of RAM. Considering its aimed at gamers, HTC could have beefed up some of the internal hardware (the processor, the RAM) to make it a little more competitive with some of the dual-core monsters that are coming out for Android. 4G speeds via WiMAX would have been nice, too.

It also features a 5MP camera (no front-facing cam for video chat) with a dual LED flash that can capture HD video at 720p, and it's got a dedicated camera button, which I'm a big fan of. It's also got the other stuff you'd expect, such as Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi b/g/n, and GPS/AGPS.

All that said, this looks to be a very worthy phone, especially if you've been yearning for WP7 on AT&T but have been suffering from screen-envy. Check out the photos, and tell us what you think. Did anyone just fall in love with this big boy?
